A two hundred and fourteen year old Albertina.
Crafted in the early 1800's, this converted watch chain is complete with the original T-Bar and Albert Clip!
This antique piece is exactly 214 years old having been made in 1810 by Charles Daniel Broughton; Gold and Silver chain makers of Birmingham.
With the classical solid and curved links you will expect, all individually and doubly stamped '9' and '•375'. The Albert Clip is complete with the original Makers Mark's 'C.D.B'. The oval chain links measure 1.9cm long and 9mm wide. The Tbar pendant measures 3.85cm wide and the swivel clip measures 2.2cm long and 7.5mm wide. The length from end to end of this converted watch chain is 8.8 inches (22.2cm). Unlike modern Albertina bracelets, this beauty is solid gold throughout from the links, tbar to the Albert Clip with all components hallmarked.
Condition - Brilliant antique condition. The Rose Gold has been professionally polished and cleaned to a high shine finish. The T-Bar has a small 0.2mm ding to the rear, hardly noticable but must be mentioned nevertheless. The Albert Clip is secure with a strong closure. The hallmarks are deep and as beautiful as the day it was made.
