A vintage pair of 9 carat yellow gold opera glasses charm. This charm is a minature copy of the galilean glasses originally used by ladies at performance events, whose name is derived from traditional use of binoculars at opera performances.
It has beautiful foliate detailing with tiny details such as a teeny tiny focusing thumbwheel and adjusting hinges that are all immaculately intact. A true rare find that I know will be snapped up!
ERA: Mid/Late Century Era (1971)
MEASUREMENTS:
These minature binoculars measure 1.21cm wide and 8.1mm in depth.
Weight: 0.72 grams.
MATERIALS: Solid 9ct Yellow Gold
HALLMARKS: These lovely binoculars bear full British hallmarks indicating that they're British made in the year 1971. They were hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office and were made by M.W.J, originally registered to W J Johnston, but later became registered to William Jackson Johnston and William Harold Johnston, trading as W H Johnston & Sons.
Condition EXCELLENT: The charm is excellent condition and of extreme high quality. The gold is polished and the details are immaculate.
